Bella looked annoyed by Snape's words, not that he wasn't speaking the truth but she didn't particularly enjoy him pointing it out. She narrowed her eyes and replied, "Very well then... Tea... Make mine strong, you know what I mean." She looked at the poor thing sharply, he just nodded but looked hesitant. Bella narrowed her eyes and hissed, "Go on... or are you waiting for some kind of invitation??" The house elf gulped silently and disappeared with another bow. Bella turned her attention back to Snape and replied with a small smile, "All in due time Severus."
. o O (It is really up to you, LK. I don't have a problem with it at all. I was going to ask you directly, but I didn't think you'd want to be involved with such a silly assassination attempt. Yet perhaps it could be that your original plan went awry somehow. I'll leave that up to you, if you choose to be involved. lol)
Severus watched the House Elf darkly as it vanished. He looked to Bellatrix and glared at her for a moment before looking away at a wall to hide his anger. With enemies within the Death Eaters ranks he could not afford to lose any powerful allies, however loosely they considered themselves allies. "So you have a long story for me then? Or do you intend to inquire about me being saved by the gullible Outsiders after the Dark Lord intended for me to die? Once again, Bellatrix, the Dark Lord is not displeased that I survived. Though he was rather angered about the Elder Wand's performance and my disobediance has been punished accordingly." Severus lifted the sleeve to show his right wrist with burn marks and knife scars all around it.

The smile she was wearing only seconds before dissolved in a matter of seconds. She looked at Severus in silence. Her face betraying no emotion although her lips were set in a tight line. She grunted softly and shrugged her shoulders while muttering, "What pleases the Dark Lord pleases me." She paused and pouted her lips slightly. When he rolled up his sleeve, she leaned forwards in her chair and stared at his scars for a long time with a small smile playing around the corner of her lips.
Being the sadist she is, Bella was extremely pleased that Snape got what he deserved. To be honest, whether he lived or died it didn't make much difference to her but the Dark Lord seemed to want him to be part of his close circle. She shrugged lightly and finally said, "I am in fact interested to know how you survived." While saying that she rested her elbows on the desk and eyed him carefully. Just then her house elf appeared carrying a tray which seemed to be twice his size.
He carefully placed one cup in front of Severus and another one in front Bellatrix. It was clearly visible that the poor thing was terrified of his mistress and judging from his scars it was no wonder. He moved away from the desk and picked a plate of assorted cookies from the tray and walked back towards the desk with his hand trembling. Unfortunately he tripped and half the cookies fell on Bellatrix. The woman looked outraged, her eyes blazed with anger.
She stood up furiously and hissed, "You clumsy creature! You're no good to me!" She clenched her hands into fists before yelling, "Kreacher!!! Come here." Instantly, the house elf that had ones belonged to the Blacks and than toHarry Potter (=O) appeared. He bowed low to Bellatrix and cast a dirty look to Patter. Bella turned to face him and shrieked, "Take him away! Lock him in the dungeons until further notice and don't assist him in any way... No food... No water... Understood??" The elf nodded and grabbed Patter by the shoulders before disappearing.
Snape had still been displaying his wrist's scars while Bellatrix was speaking. Although mostly for his own viewing, he twisted his arm as he examined the burns and cuts. Only loosely paying attention to Bellatrix.
Snape's attention was finally brought fully to Bellatrix with her outburst against the House Elf. Snape lowered his arm slowly, allowing his vision to fix upon Bellatrix herself who was now standing. Snape remained calm. His mouth dropped open at the sight of Kreacher. Severus turned back to Bellatrix. "That was the House Elf of Sirius Black, was it not? Interesting that he works for you. Sirius Black was the fool who had helped me survive the snake's venom. Although he had trouble healing the bites themselves. I had to teach him the spell involved with magical snake bites."
Bellatrix jerked her head in Snape's direction. She still looked pretty annoyed with what had just happened and Severus's words only made her angrier. She narrowed her eyes and hunched her shoulders forwards before hissing mockingly, "Nice job he's done... a big favour to human kind." She gritted her teeth and snarled to herself. She eventually straightened herself and added, "Kreacher has always been loyal to me and I believe I don't need to justify myself with you." Having said that she smoothed the front of her robe and walked back to her desk without further comment.
A spark in Severus' eyes betrayed his anger. Though otherwise he mostly seemed to remain calm. Severus leaned forward and propped his elbows against the edge of Bellatrix's desk. "Perhaps your cousin is more alike you than you think. I believe he may have actually been feigning ignorance in an attempt to prolong my pain or even hopefully bring my death." Severus sat back against the chair when he finished comparing Bellatrix to her cousin. He raised an eyebrow at her. "And what exactly did you bring me here for?"
Bella was outraged by his words. How dare he compare her to such scum? Sirius Black was the biggest disgrace of their family... indeed becoming a Gryffindor. By now Bella was fuming as she stared back into Snape's eyes. His question took her by surprise and she stared at him with a blank expression. After some seconds Bella blinked twice and slid back in her chair. She folded her hands in her lap and started laughing almost hysterically. When she was done she looked at Snape with her head tilted to the side and replied, "I forgot... but I doubt it was important." She paused and pouted her lips before saying with a smirk, "Can't two old friends merely meet up for a chat and a cup of tea??"In actual truth so many things had happened, all of which distracted her from what was important. Something that had been happening quite frequently, lately.
