Caleb did not hear her, then again, he might choose not to listen to her. He clearly did not want anyone to know his business hence he usually check to make sure no one follows him. Tonight, he assumed that the girl would have listen and stayed in Hogwarts Castle and that was where he was wronged. He made his way into the forbidden forest and found himself by a clear lake. He walked over to a specific place and spotted a log. He dusted it a little before sitting onto it.
Students of Hogwarts should never enter this forest without permission or an adult. Caleb found this spot two years ago and he managed to slip in and out unharm. The log that he was sitting on, is linked to a tree, hence, Caleb could use the trunk as his support and leaned back against it. He pulled his knee towards him, one of his knees, and rested his arm on it. His other arm moved towards him, using his hand and grabbed that necklace, looking at it. For years now, ever since he started studying in Hogwarts, he kept having weird dreams.
Well, it was not weird if it was his usual 'Ice Age' dream, as when he was young, his aunt used to tell him that story to make him go to bed. It appeared to be a fang of some creature but he had no idea what it was. All he managed to see was that fang image and nothing else, dashing towards him, trying to bite him or something. Staring at his necklace, he found no answer, just silence.

Morgana removed the bag from her shoulder and behind some bushes near the entrance door. Her mistake was forgetting her wand in her back. She tip toed silently behind Caleb. When he disappeared inside the Forbidden Forest, she stopped in her tracks and looked at the menacing large dark trees uncertainly. She was not a wimp. She would not let some trees scare her. Morgana kept repeating that to herself as she plunged through the trees. Caleb was walking ahead of her, she would see him. And then he was gone. Meggy's heart skipped a beat. She started running forwards blindly feeling panicked.
The fourteen year old stopped in her tracks and looked around her wildly. Her heart was pounding frantically against her chest. Morgana heard a noise coming from behind her. She let out a scream and pressed her body against the nearest bark tree, waiting for the worse. A life sized acromantule appeared in front of her. It moved towards Morgana quickly, its pincers snapping dangerously at her. Morgana crouched down to the ground, hiding her face behind her arms and started whimpering.
The giant spider let out a throaty laugh and said, "Hardly enough for one. I won't share you with my brothers and sisters. You should be grateful human. They are not as gentle as I am." Morgana looked up at the creature with wide eyes and started clawing at the tree behind her, as if it would help her. She fumbled through her pockets for her wand, but they were empty. Her bag hidden in the bushes flashed in front of her eyes. "Stay away from me!" she screamed in a high pitched voice. "Please. No. No."

What did the fangs meant, he kept asking himself while staring at the tooth he crafted. Clearly, it was not the same. He clutched his hand that was holding onto the tooth into fist and placed it under his lips while wondering, hoping to get an answer. He knew it was stupid to be waiting an answer like that. It never worked. He looked up at the sky, at the starry sky until he heard a high pitch scream. He pushed himself up, looking around the forest wondering who might be making that noise. Was there a group of student being punished tonight? Not that he knew of.
He quickly got up from his seat and rushed towards the direction where the scream came from. As Caleb rushed to the scene, he saw an acromantule advancing to a tree. The reflection of its eyes noticed there was someone behind a tree from his view. He could not make it who that might be but as he advances, the spider seemed to back away as the spider stared at Caleb. That made Caleb wondered why the spider was backing away, after all, he was not even consider an adult or anything.
Once he stopped asking himself so many questions, he cast incendio and the patch of twigs and fallen leafs where the spider was burst into flames. The spider was burnt slightly but it ran away. Caleb quickened his steps to make sure of it before turning around to look at who the prey might be, "Why am I not surprise it might be you... Are you hurt?" He walked up to her, using his free hand, holding it out to help her get up to her feet.

The spider's pincers were too close to her face. Morgana pressed herself harder to the tree and curled up into a tight ball. The sharp pain she was expecting never happened. Instead she heard the spider move backwards; followed by the crackling of fire and it's heat. The next thing she knows the spider scrambled away and someone was beside her. Morgana peeked up from the gap in between her arms and let out a sigh of relief when she saw Caleb. Instead of taking his hand, she moved further away and buried her head in her knees sobbing quietly.
After a couple of seconds she looked with with tears streaming down her cheeks and said softly, "I forgot my wand in my bag." Having said that, she looked away and tugged her knees tighter to her chest. She felt afraid. She didn't want the acromantule to be back. She didn't want to face Caleb, because she was sure he would be angry at her and scold her or worse turn her in. Not even professor Snape would tolerate sneaking out of the castle. Morgana dared another look in Caleb's direction and wiped her face on the back of her sleeve. "Thank you for saving my life," she sniffled quietly.

There was clearly no expression on his face. He heard her clear enough that she forgot her wand. He began to wonder if her bag was anywhere near here. He raised his wand and cast Accio for her bag. Within seconds, her bag came floating towards him. He grabbed the bag before tossing it to her, well, dropped in front of her instead. "You wouldn't need to thank me if you did not follow me in the first place. A warning for you... If you don't get up and move now... you'll be free to play with the other spiders that might be on their way here right now."
Caleb had his wand firmly in his hand while his other hand stretched out to help her up. He was still waiting for her to grab it. If she still trying to be defiant, Caleb would just grab her and carry her up, making sure she would not try anything funny and get them both killed or get caught. While waiting, his mind began to wonder and asking questions again. Why did the spider back away when he was walking towards it? Why was the spider seemed to be afraid of him? He quickly snapped out of it as he knew now was not the time to ask himself so many questions. If he wanted to survive and her as well, they had to leave, now.

Morgana looked up at guiltily at Caleb and rubbed her eyes, looking like a young child. "I'm sorry," she said softly. Meggy gasped loudly and started shivering at his words. She snatched her bag from the ground and took his hand. Morgana pushed herself upright and huddled close to Caleb's body. She hastily opened the bag and fumbled for her wand. Morgana looked up at Caleb curiously. She scrunched her nose and then repeated, "Thank you." Meggy scanned their surroundings quietly and moved closer to Caleb. She gulped and said boldly, "I can find my way back. You don't have to come with me... I don't want to be a bother." She shrugged and untangled herself from Caleb, as if to prove her point, and lit her wand.

Caleb just kept his eyes around the forest, while waiting for her to grab his hand and get up. They really need to move before more appeared. As she did, Caleb turned his attention towards her and pulled her up. He turned his attention away once more while she looked for her wand, clearly one person need to be on the look out while the other is doing something else other than keeping a look out. He had no idea what the girl was thinking at this particular moment but clearly, she was trying to be defiant and that pissed him off. They are in the mid of danger and here she was trying to act tough. Without any notice, Caleb grabbed her by her waist and carried her up onto his shoulder,
"You're not going anywhere except back to Hogwarts with me. If you kept figiting, I swear I'll toss you onto the ground hard, don't test me. And I'll appreciate if you 'nox' your wand, don't need extra attention on us." He said in a light growling tone before kept walking towards the exit. He knew his place, at least till that boundary, well enough to know his path without his wand lit up. He watched out for some branches as he did not want to get her scratched or himself for that matter. People will get curious and it will be bad as it annoys him much.

Morgana braced her arms around her body and started shifting uncomfortably. When she felt Caleb's hands' on her hips she let out a soft scream and started struggling and kicking with her feet, thinking the spider was back. Caleb hauled her over his shoulder as if she was merely a bag of feathers. She stopped moving and lay limp over his body as he started speaking. Morgana somehow managed to fold her arms over her chest and hmphed loudly. She turned a bright red at his words and put out her wand. As he sarted walking, Meggy gasped loudly. "Please put me down. I am capable of walking." She paused and mumbled, "I will behave, I promise."

Honestly, Caleb did not elaborate clearly when he asked her to nox out the light from her wand. He should be a little specific with his words especially when dealing with girls. Though, he did not really thought about that when he was busily trying to keep them safe and him trying to figure out why the spider backed away from him earlier. When she spoke, Caleb pretended that he did not hear her. There was just no way he was going to risk that, them getting hurt or her, again for the matter. He had to make sure the both of them headed back to the school safely. It was getting really late and Caleb usually had to hide out the night till morning just to be safe for walking again and that was what he had planned for them right now.
He was making his way towards his usual hide out and get rested till the sun rise for the next day. He managed to reach back to the lake safely and he only placed her down once he checked the area. He walked back towards the cave that was just a hole at the bottom ground of a dead log and entered in. He sat there while leaning against the back of the soil and looked at the night sky through the exit hole. If there was any danger, he would just pull the dead log to cover the hole to prevent being notice. While looking at the night sky, unaware, he grabbed the necklace of his. That secret place was not found, it was created by him, not that she would know or anything, would she?

Meggy was annoyed when she realised Caleb was ignoring her. She would have pummeled his back and screamed at him to let her down if she had been stupid. However, she knew that would only attract any dangerous creature lurking in the forest. Thus her decision to remain silent and only pout. She started fretting when she noticed they were not headed towards the castle. Morgana started protesting softly and asking where they were going. Again she was ignored. Caleb carried her straight into a cave and deposited her on the soil. Meggy made a face and looked down at the ground with disgust. She stood up and folded her arms over her chest while her eyes followed Caleb's movement. After he had sat down she started moving around the cave curiously. She leaned against the wall and passed a hand over the uneven rock. Morgana peered over her shoulders and said, "I wonder who made this." She paused and went to sit by Caleb. "It doesn't look natural. But whoever it was, they made one hell of a good job." She smiled at Caleb and noticed he was fiddling with his necklace. Morgana leaned forwards, her gaze fixed on the funny looking pendent. "What's that?" she asked curiously.

He kept his eyes gazed on the moon before looking at her when she spoke to him. He was a little annoyed being ask about his necklace. He did not want to explain or let her know much about him, "Whatever you say..." He looked away immediately when she smiled. He hate being rude but at times, it can't be help. It was until she leaned forward slightly, he moved away from her. He was about the growl but he managed to stop himself from doing so otherwise she might ask him another question.
He looked down at his necklace before looking away from her and responded, "Tooth necklace. Just... Tooth necklace." He answered briefly just in case she might asked him another question again. Perhaps, that might shut her up for a while. That necklace of his is more than just a tooth but he did not want her to know, or better yet, she did not have to know about that or anything more about him for the matter. Honestly, he was just not used being with someone, much less a girl. He scooted over towards the side a little so that they would not be too close.
