900 A.D.
Rome has managed to hang onto its Eastern half as the Western half has fallen into Chaos, fighting amongst itself to fit itself back together into some semblance of order. Out of those has arisen Camelot. Rome has vowed to protect its remaining land from Camelot as as well as squashing Byzantium revolts within its own borders to the far east who believe that Rome should reform and start over and they have been fighting these revolts of small stature for almost 500 years.

Rome is losing it’s borders. It seems to be coming out of its prime (even if it’s lovely Empress Dionysia is not). Countries are gaining their independence. Older countries have allied themselves with Rome. But even with Romes allies, and loss of them they are still a powerful force; Unbeatable.

Or are they? A small country on the Island of Briton has recently done just this. Camelot has used their last High King bring the island under control. He then promptly decided to give it all back to the Romans, and incurred the wrath of his people. King Uther died, and his Heir and son, Arthur was placed on the thrown. He has cut off all contact with Rome, and has declared a State Of War. He’s inexperience, but he’s got new ideas, and new plans. Will he be able to hold off the Roman attacks, and keep his country in good order? Will the Roman’s sweep over him and grind them into dust? Will new alliances be made? It’s all up to you.
